San Diego Beer Week in America’s craft beer Mecca means more beer, food, pairings, nth level and over-the-top events than one person can attend. This excess of events naturally has heads turning in every direction, trying to figure out where to spend their time and sate their thirst for incredible beer. Decadent Decade of Stone Imperial Russian Stout LIBERTY STATION | 11:30 a.m. – 10 p.m. Decadent, indeed! With vintages of this dark, robust, chocolaty delight from 2004 to the present and all the variations in between, we’re breaking out all the IRS you can handle. Because we’re not one to half-ass anything, this indulgent event starts at 11:30 a.m. and goes until the kegs run dry. Saturday, November 8 Surly Comes to Stone ESCONDIDO | 5 – 8 p.m. Darkness? Pentagram? Misanthrope? The cantankerous word cloud heading for our brewery can only mean one thing - Surly Brewing Co. is taking over our taps with their audacious brews. Starting in 1994, Surly’s full-bodied beers have been widely available to thirsty Midwesterners…but not us Californians. Get your Minnesotan brewery fix (seriously, why is it so hard to get us some Surly?) and pick the brain of a special guest from the Land of 10,000 Lakes. In one of our favorite traditions, we’ve whipped up 12 specially made casks to assault your senses following the simultaneous tapping of the entire dozen. Pulling flavor combo inspiration from Thanksgiving to sushi, these offerings are as flavorful as they are diverse.
